The Candid Fashion Show www.candidarts.com Beautiful Soul has been invited to join the CDCollective (Tammam/Elena Garcia/Nancy Dee etc.) and we will be showcasing our eagerly awaited collection for Spring/Summer 2010, 'Miss Butterfly.' Inspired by Giacomo Puccini's, Madam Butterfly and produced from Japanese vintage kimonos (dating back to the 1940's), vintage saris, Ahimsa peace silk, Fair-Trade organic jacquard, handloom cotton and bamboo jersey. Embellishments and accessories are hand-made by a small cooperative (Umdoni Creek) that 'Beautiful Soul' set up in South Africa in 2008 and feature indigenous up-cycled ingredients and fabric remnants, providing a solution to 'zero' waste. Silhouettes are directional, yet timeless and echo femininity.
