Vintage kimonos remain a central aspect of No. 3, the AW10 collection, and add a touch of elegance and exclusivity to the garment. This collection also sees the introduction of British wool from a rare breed of Shetland sheep sourced from Izzy Lane, organic dupion silk, organic jacquard, bamboo jersey and denim is given a new lease of life, within structured silhouettes.
No.3 sees the development of directional yet timeless and elegant pieces that can be worn in a multitude of ways. Garment adjustability is key to Beautiful Soul’s design ethos, which offers a versatility that is determined by change in body contours.
Inspiration for No.3 includes the early theatre set and costume design work by Luis Carvalho and Japanese haute couture. The colourways employed by Yohji Yamamoto have been particularly inspirational for Beautiful Soul’s third collection, and therefore blacks, whites, red and deep blue hues make an appearance.
Manufacture and production is London based.
